Here are the books and resources I used to write my paper and to make my website

Primary Sources:

Reed, John. Ten Days That Shook the World. New York, NY: Vintage Books, 1960
John Reed was an American that was living at the time of the Russian Revolution in Russia. This book that he wrote gives his points and views about the Revolution and his thoughts on Communism.

Atchison, Bob, “Russian History Websites” 1996 [website] available from
"http://www.alexanderpalace.org"; Internet; accessed 22 October 2000
Certain webpages in this website are primary sources and some are not. "Letters of the Tsar" is a webpage that has actual letters written from the tsar to the tsarina. "The Real Tsaritsa" is a published book on the internet written by the tsarina's best friend.

Secondary Sources:

Press Agency. “1905.” Soviet Life, Oct. 1967, 12-14
“February Revolution.”
“From February to October.”
Soviet Life is a magazine that was published by the USSR telling the views of the Revolutionary Era. These articals are wonderfully detailed about how the revolution began and what really happened.

Vogt, George. Nicholas II. New York, NY: Chelsea House Publishers, 1987
Told life story of Nicholas II and his ancesters. Was written by a historian.

Kleine-Ahlbrandt, WM. Laird. Twentieth-Century European History. Saint Paul, MN: West Publishing Company, 1993
Great information on Rasputin and other important facts that I haven't seen in any other books.

Ferguson, Wallace K., and Geoffrey Brunn. A Survey of European Civilation 4th Edition.
Boston, Ma: Houghton Mifflin Company, 1969
Not much information came from this source but it did tell me what Nicholas II was thinking during the revolutionary times.

Vernadsky, George. A History of Russia. New York, NY: The New Home Library, 1944
Told the reasons why the citizens of Russia hated the tsar.

Mazour, Anatole G., and John M. Peoples. World History: People and Nations. Orlando,
FL: Harcourt Brace Jovanovich, 1990
Gave very good information on World War I and how Russia was tied into the war with Nicholas as its leader.

Coblentz, Stanton Arthur, Ten Crises in Civilization, Chicago, IL: Fallett Publishing Company, 1965
Book written by a historian telling why Nicholas was a bad ruler and what he did that made him the worst monarch that Russia ever had.
